‘Exposed job done’: US House committee hearing on UFOs

The US House Oversight Committee will hold a hearing on July 26 on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), formerly known as UFOs. The Republican-led initiative will be chaired by Representatives Anna Paulina Luna and Tim Burchett.

In a press conference on Thursday, Tim Burchett said that the committee is facing pressure from many sides regarding the hearing. He said, “We have faced a lot of opposition regarding this hearing. We have members of Congress who fought us, we have members of the intelligence community and the Pentagon. even NASA retreated from us. There are many people who do not want this to come out.”

The discussion about UAP has been fueled recently by a revelation by former US intelligence officer David Grush. Grush was part of the Defense Department and led the UAP’s analysis until he resigned on April 14 after a 14-year career.

according to a report Brief summaryGrush claims that the US government has an “intact and partially intact” foreign vehicle and that this information is being illegally withheld from Congress.

David Grush is now among three witnesses called by the House Oversight Committee, along with Navy Commander David Brower and Navy Pilot Ryan Graves.

Burchett argued that the US government spends a lot of money on UFO investigations but does not come forward about what it knows. “They (UFOs) either exist or they don’t exist,” he said. They (the US government) keep telling us that they don’t exist, but they block every opportunity for us to get information and prove that they do exist. And we’ll get to the bottom of it, whatever the truth may be. We have completed the cover-up.”

Meanwhile, the US Senate is also considering a bipartisan move to force the US government to disclose possible UFO sightings. The move is being led by Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, along with Republican Senator Mike Rounds.
