Farmers to get Rythu Bandhu sum on Nov 28 | Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Finance minister T Harish Rao announced that farmers in the state will receive the Rythu Bandhu benefit from Monday, due to bank holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
“The disbursement will be done on Monday. Even before farmers complete their breakfast and tea, their accounts will be credited with the benefit,” Harish said, adding that though Congress tried to stall the scheme, finally only the farmers have won.
However, sources said that farmers will get the amount on the 28th as election commission had barred the disbursement of funds on the 29th and 30th of this month. Also, as banks have a holiday on the 27th as well, the actual disbursement will happen on 28th, they said.
In this Rabi season, around 70 lakh farmers will get the benefit of 5,000 per acre into their accounts. A complaint was also lodged with the EC over Rythu Bandhu disbursement in the wake of the MCC imposition in state.tnn
