The farmers of Punjab are once again going to get on the railway tracks. After protesting at the DC offices and toll plazas of Punjab for a long time, the farmers will stop the rail at 15 places in 12 districts today. This train will be stopped from 1 pm to 4 pm.

  7. Fazilka Railway Station
  8. District Barnala Ghunas Station
  9. Jalandhar Cantt & Kapurthala Railway Station
  10. Tanda Railway Station in Hoshiarpur
  11. Samrala Railway Station of Ludhiana
  12. Faridkot Railway Station

Amritsar-Delhi, Tarn Taran and Amritsar-JK routes affected
Amritsar New Delhi, Amritsar J&K and Tarn Taran routes will be affected after this decision of the farmers. Main trains Amritsar Shatabdi, Shan-e-Punjab, Nagpur Express, Paschim Express, Golden Temple Mail, Dadar Express and Jammu Tawi Jodhpur Express trains are going to be affected.

Farmers got angry when their demands were not met

Farmers have been protesting for a long time with the state and central government regarding their demands. Even in the farmer’s movement, the things agreed upon have not been accepted yet.

  • The Electricity Distribution Act should be repealed and the proceedings of the Electricity Research Bill 2020 should be removed.
  • The agreements made by the Government of India with the WTO should be cancelled.

demands related to state government

  • Lands were acquired for road projects without proper compensation. For this, the difficulties coming up should be resolved soon.
  • The price of sugarcane should be increased from Rs.380 to Rs.500.
  • Pollution prevention law should be implemented strictly.
  • Compensation should be given to the families of the martyrs of the Delhi Front.
