Fir On 12-yr-old For Strangling Class 4 Student In Civic School | Thane News – Times of India

Thane: A class 6 boy, aged 12, has been booked by Kapurbawdi police for allegedly strangling a 10-year-old class 4 student inside a civic school in Jan last year.
Deceased’s mother filed a complaint in the local court, who directed police action under CrPC section 156 (3), mandating registration and investigation of offence. The complainant, who works as a house help in Azad Nagar stated that an altercation between the duo led to her son’s death.
According to the offence registered, the incident occurred on Jan 11,2023 between 3pm-3.30pm.An eyewitness known to the complainant allegedly described to her the scene where an altercation reportedly ensued within the school premises between the accused and the deceased. The accused sat on her son’s chest and choked him to a point where he lost consciousness, the police said.
The teachers and other staff of the school tried to wake him up, but in vain. Thereafter, the victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, the police said quoting the complaint.
The police have registered the offence under IPC section 302 and have launched an investigation into the case.
