Fire Breaks Out In Abandoned Hq Of Zilla Parishad | Thane News – Times of India

Thane: A freak fire was reported in the old, abandoned Thane Zilla Parishad (ZP) headquarters in the wee hours of Friday, officials informed, adding that stocked furniture and accessories were damaged in the incident.
The fire erupted on the terrace of the three-storeyed building and was reported a little after midnight to the regional disaster management cell (RDMC), Thane, following which, rescue teams and the police rushed to the spot, informed Yasin Tadvi, chief at the RDMC.“The teams managed to douse the fire within minutes. The damaged items were old wooden furniture including tables and cupboards. The cause of the fire will be investigated,” Tadvi added.
