4 years of Modi govt 2.0: Challenges apart, minister in-charge has a lot to show for four-year-old ministry

heyOne of the biggest challenges for Purushottam Rupala, who took charge in 2021 from a ministry formed only four years ago, emerged in the form of lumpy skin disease, which killed thousands of cattle across the country last year. This was a major crisis for the world’s top milk producing country. The ministry, however, managed to swiftly stop it. “We were holding regular meetings with the affected states. We had also set up a control room in the ministry, and vaccination was in full swing,” says Rupala about the efforts.
