Flood Alert in Delhi: Yamuna’s water level near ‘warning mark’, flood control department alerted

The water level of Yamuna has reached near the danger mark of 203.57 meters.

The water level of Yamuna has reached near the danger mark. Due to this, the possibility of flood in the lower part of the river has increased. The administration has started making announcements in the Yamuna Khadar area on Sunday evening itself. Tents have been started for the people in the upper area. People doing agriculture in the Yamuna Khadar area have been asked to keep an eye on the water. About 45000 cusecs of water has been released from Hathinikund barrage in Yamunanagar on Sunday morning. About one lakh cusecs more water is reported to have been released in the night. Due to this, there is a possibility of flood in Yamuna on 11th July.
