Former Indian Pacer Prashant Vaidya Arrested for Cheque Bounce Case | Nagpur News – Times of India

NAGPUR: Bajaj Nagar police executed a non-bailable warrant issued against former international cricket player Prashant Vaidya on Wednesday in connection to a case of cheque bounce. He was taken to court which had learnt to have released him on a surety bond of Rs 5,000.
Senior inspector Vithal Singh Rajput said Vaidya was brought to the police station to complete the formalities of non-bailable warrant and later produced before the court.
“We had recorded the execution of the NBW in our station house diary after taking Vaidya in custody. The legal formalities were duly completed,” said Rajput adding the case was a civil matter related to clearance of cheque.
