The State Narcotics Bureau and the Patancheru police arrested four people on charges of possessing and transporting ganja. Police seized 90 kg of banned material.
The accused smugglers — Vanthala Raja Rao, Vanthala Babaji and Anupoju Sai Siva Kumar of Chintapalli in Andhra Pradesh and Rathore Venkat of Sangareddy — were ganja cultivator-smugglers and dealer-peddlers, respectively.
The accused made the bumper of the Hyundai Santro car and prepared secret boxes under it for smuggling ganja. The smuggled goods were being regularly moved to Zaheerabad and Mumbai.
