Four people trapped in CP Resto Bar lift; Rescued by the fire brigade. Delhi News – Times of India

New Delhi: In an hour-long ‘difficult’ operation, the fire department rescued four people trapped in the lift of a resto bar in Connaught Place.
PTI quoted the fire department as saying that a call was received at 11.14 pm on Wednesday night that some people were stuck in the lift of the restaurant and bar at My Bar Headquarters.
The department immediately sent a fire tender and a rescue tender to the spot.
Firefighters found that bar patrons were trapped inside the elevator due to a mechanical glitch that jammed the elevator doors.
Fire officials said the lift was coming from the first floor to the ground floor when it developed a fault.
Later a mechanic was called, who along with firemen opened the lift and managed to rescue the four occupants.
He said that there was no report of any casualty in the incident.
Officials said that the operation led by ADO Rajesh Shukla was completed in an hour.
Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg informed about the incident in a tweet and described it as a ‘difficult’ rescue operation.
