Fukrey inches towards Rs 70 crore mark in India | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Fukrey franchise has been around for 10 years and going by the audience’s love for its third installment it will be there for another 10. Fukrey 3 just entered its second week , its first week total as per Sacnilk stands at Rs 66 crore and on its second Friday the film has made Rs 2.20 crore as per early estimates. The film had an overall occupancy of 18.23% on Friday and its global collection stands at Rs 86.50 crore.
The film is also holding strong against the new releases this week like Dono, Thank You For Coming and Mission Raniganj: A Great Bharat Rescue , which unfortunately haven’t performed well which had day 1 collected at Rs 35 lakhs, Rs 80 lakhs and Rs 2.8 crore respectively. It would be interesting to see how the film fares from here as it faces pretty much no competition for the current releases but Shah Rukh Khan’sJawan is battling. On its 29th day, the film has made about Rs 1.78 in Hindi, just Rs 42 lakhs less than Fukrey. Also the coming week seems like a free run as no big films are releasing till 20th which will see Tiger Shroff’s Ganpath coming with a bang.
The film is directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, and it stars Pankaj Tripathi, Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, and Varun Sharma in pivotal roles. The film had an impressive debut with Rs 8 crore, despite the Jawan craze still on. However with positive word of mouth and weekend the film did manage to hit double digit box office collections for three days in a row.
Fukrey 3 also faced direct competition from Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War which released on the same day, it opened to Rs 85 lakhs and its first week collections stood at Rs 8.5 crore.
