Apple According to a report by 9To5Mac, a patent has been granted that relates to a proposed safety feature for AirPods that could help prevent any accidents by making the wearer more aware of their surroundings. Feature can reduce or stop the volume of audio being played on it TWS Earbuds, to take the user’s mind out of the audio content.
Apple notes in the patent that advances in portable computing have made it easier for people to consume content in almost any setting. This can prove to be dangerous in some cases because devices like earbuds, headphones or glasses can jeopardize the safety of the person wearing them by distracting them and/or preventing them from being alert to a rapidly approaching danger. Apart from this, it can also cause trouble for the people around the wearer.
To address this issue, the tech giant has further stated in the patent that GPS iPhone or . data from apple watch It can be paired with the sensors already on AirPods to check the location and movement of the wearer and whether they are wearing both earbuds or just one. This information is about to trigger the security feature. For example, if the GPS says the user is in a crowded place or on the road and both are wearing earbuds, it could prompt an action from the AirPods like pausing playback or turning down the volume. If you’re walking next to a road, the AirPods unit in ear facing traffic may lower the volume, making you aware of sounds from the road.
“The direction of motion can indicate that the user is moving with the shoulder of the road towards the road on their right (assuming the user is walking ahead). Thus, the audio output in the right ear can be adjusted If the speed data shows that the user is moving on his or her left side towards the road, the audio output of the left ear can be adjusted,” Apple said in the patent.
Similarly, if speed and speed data reveal whether you are cycling or riding a bike, it may serve to bring your attention back to the road.
