Rajkot: The city police has arrested a garage owner in Rajkot for stealing over 50 two-wheelers from public places in less than a year. Detectives of Rajkot A Division police station 50 year old arrested Abdul Pathan and recovered 12 stolen vehicles and original equipment of various Bike from his possession.
According to the police, in the last few months, complaints of vehicle theft were being received from religious and other public places in many police stations. During patrolling on Monday night, the police found a person roaming under the hospital chowk culvert in a suspicious condition.
During interrogation, the police learned that the man was driving the vehicle which he had stolen from the parking lot of Balaji Mandir on Karansinghji Road.
After this the police raided his residence Vora Eleven more stolen bikes, spare parts and chassis of various vehicles were recovered from the society on Jamnagar Road. Complaints of these stolen vehicles were lodged in various police stations of the city.
Police said, “Pathan used to run a garage and used to steal vehicles from public places. He used to disassemble all the parts and fit them in the vehicles of his customers. He would grind the engine and chassis numbers of the stolen vehicles using a grinder machine.” would remove.”
