Gauahar Khan makes first public appearance after pregnancy announcement; Ismail Darbar says, ‘I pray…’

Gauahar Khan and her husband Zaid Darbar are all set to welcome their first child. After announcing her pregnancy, mom-to-be Gauahar made her first public appearance at the prestigious Filmfare OTT Awards 2022 in Mumbai. The Ishaqzaade actress looked gorgeous in an emerald green gown with a gold lehenga and accessorised it with pearl jewellery. She sported subtle makeup and styled her hair in a neat ponytail.

He also shared a picture of himself with directors Sumit Ghildial and Suman Adhikari, who received the Filmfare Award for Best Short Film in the Fiction category.

Expressing her excitement, the Begum Jaan actress captioned the post, “The host, and the winner! Yes, we won Best Short Film, Fiction at the Filmfare OTT Awards 2022! Sorry, thank you brother! Congratulations to our wonderful directors Sumit Gildial, Suman Adhikari and my Guptaji Sharib Hashmi. Thank you, Filmfare and the jury.”

On Tuesday, Zaid and Gauahar took to their Instagram handles to announce their pregnancy news in an animated film in which the two were seen riding a scooty. The video hinted that their adventure would continue with the addition of a plus one in their lives. The clip begins with the words, “Jab Z (Zaid) met Ji (Gauahar) toh ek do ho gaya. And now the adventure continues as we turn three!” The video ends with the words, “Gauahar and Zaid +1, In Sha Allah. Seeking all your prayers and blessings in this new journey.”

Ever since they made the announcement, fans and family members have been pouring in wishes for the parents-to-be. Zaid’s father and noted musician Ismail Darbar in an interview with Times of India India expressed his happiness. He said, “I pray for a healthy child…and good luck.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Gauahar Khan was recently seen in Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda starrer 14 Phere.
