Gauahar Khan says Ranbir Kapoor is yet to get his due as an actor, believes she would have been the ‘next superstar’ if Rocket Singh released today | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

In 2009, Gauahar Khan made her debut in Bollywood in the filling ‘Rocket Singh.’ She shared the screen space with Ranbir Kapoor in the movie, and believes if this film had been released today, she would have been the ‘next big thing.’
Speaking about her debut film ‘Rocket Singh’ with Bollywood Bubble, Gauaharmentioned that the film was ahead of its time. If released today, it would have been a blockbuster movie, as it was strong on paper and had stellar performances.The movie deserved awards in all categories. In fact, Gauahar was nominated for her role in the best supporting category and she did bring the trophy home.

She added that she would have been the next superstar if the movie had been released today. Nevertheless, she also believes that everything happens for a reason.

Further, she spoke about her co-star Ranbir Kapoor, who she dearly loves. According to her, the actor still hasn’t got his due in the industry. She even mentioned that Ranbir’s work in ‘Barfi’ was one of the best acts of his career.
At the same time, taking into consideration that Ranbir now is getting all the love and appreciation not just as an actor but at the box office as well, Gauahar is more than happy for him.
