YouTube picture-in-picture will be available for iphone and iOS 15 and . iPads running on ipad OS 15 Operating System. Furthermore, Google has confirmed in its blog post that premium users will get the PIP facility, irrespective of the region they are residing in. The feature will also be available for non-premium users, but will only work in and only in US regions. For non-musical content.
Talking about the rollout, this update is now being rolled out to all the users around the world. However, this is a phased rollout and is expected to reach everyone over the course of a week.
For those unaware, YouTube picture-in-picture mode allows users to watch any video on a popup floating screen. The popup window can float on any app and it lets users watch YouTube videos while using any other app on their smartphone or tablet.
Steps to Enable PiP Mode on iPhone and iPad
Open YouTube app and go to Settings
Tap on General and enable the Picture-in-Picture toggle
