Google I/O event 2023: Date, time, how to watch live and what to expect

New Delhi: One of the most eagerly awaited events for Google and Android fans is coming: Google I/O. The upcoming Google I/O event promises to be exciting with Android 14 improvements, the debut of the Google Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold, and interesting AI announcements. The debut of the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro later this year is also being eagerly awaited.

Google I/O Event 2023: Date

Google I/O will take place on May 10, following a worldwide collaborative effort to solve this year’s puzzle. Like last year’s Google I/O, the event will be held in person, but it will only be open to those who attend in person.

Google is urging most attendees to watch the event online. This year’s Google I/O will last only one day, compared to three days in previous years.

It looks like the firm will shift its focus away from one event and instead focus on providing continued support to web and Android developers through other channels, such as more Google I/O Connect events that are set to take place around the world in the coming days. The coming months

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the postponement of Google I/O 2020, and Google I/O 2021 was held exclusively online. The opening keynote speaker and many anticipated panels for this year will, as in previous years, be available online.

Google I/O event 2023: How to watch

Registration for the event is available now, on Google’s website, but participation requires a Google Account. However, if you just want to watch the original keynote, it’s likely that it will be available on YouTube without requiring you to sign up.

On May 10 at 10 a.m. PT and 1 p.m. ET, the keynote address is set to begin. A link to view it will be made available closer to the event.

Google I/O event 2023: What to expect

Google has unveiled the schedule for Google I/O 2023 on April 27, 2023. The itinerary for this year’s convention is shorter than usual as it lasts only one day. The conference’s primary themes—mobile, web, AI and cloud—are highlighted in each of the four different sections that make up the program.
