Google introduces these four new Search features for students – Times of India

Google has updated Search and Lens to assist with STEM subjects, providing better support for maths, physics, and geometry problem-solving. These features should help users with STEM-related concepts and browse for relevant equations in a more natural and intuitive way.
The new feature provides more support to students for maths, physics, and geometry. You can now get step-by-step solutions to maths and scienceproblems by entering your equation in the search bar or taking a picture with Lens. The “math solver” is available on desktop and will soon be on mobile. Google’s language models offer help with word problems, and students can visually explore STEM concepts with 3D models and interactive diagrams for over 1,000 topics.
“Math solver” for step-by-step solutions
Looking for help with maths and science problems? Now you can find more assistance on subjects like trigonometry and calculus. Simply enter your equation in the search bar or use Lens to take a picture, and you will receive a step-by-step solution. You can also try using “math solver” on desktop, and it will soon be available on mobile.
Solve geometry with Google Lens
Geometry problems can often be difficult to explain using words alone. However, the Lens tool can help with visual problems, such as finding the area of a triangle, by providing step-by-step explanations for geometry challenges.
AI to solve physics problems
Google now offers help with high-school physics word problems through advanced language models. The feature assists in identifying known and unknown values and selecting the correct formulas to solve problems.
Learn STEM concepts visually
Google now allows users to visually explore over 1,000 STEM concepts on Search. Interactive diagrams and 3D models are available for biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and related topics.
“With the latest enhancements in Search and Lens, individuals can now intuitively visualise STEM concepts and effortlessly identify the appropriate equations. These improvements empower people to nurture their curiosity and acquire new knowledge seamlessly,” said Google’s Product Lead, Rob Wong, announcing the new features.
