Pixel fold screen has a quality issue
The newly launched Pixel Fold device has made its way to buyers who are clearly not happy with this premium device.
Google recently launched the Pixel Fold and all eyes were eager to see how the new foldable device performs in real life.
Early indications suggest that the Pixel Fold is built to handle rough use, but now many owners have started to see the Pixel Fold screen crack within just a few days of use. The display quality on the Pixel Fold is definitely questionable and some of the complaints include small dents in the screen, that too just days after buying the foldable device.
Thankfully, the screen is responsive, which means that dents are indicative of the quality that Google has used to build the phone. Another user said that he noticed a pink line on the Pixel Fold’s internal screen, which is not a good sign for any device.
Google seems to be aware of the issue, and has reportedly suggested these users to contact their support team who can investigate the matter. Google offers comprehensive support for the Pixel Fold, and the occurrence of these problems in the first few days after purchase means that customers can receive warranty benefits, as long as the damage is not related to physical problems.
Most people were concerned about the quality of the Pixel Fold when it was launched this year, just like other first generation foldables we’ve seen in the market. When it was launched by the company as the first foldable device, Samsung was no different when it came to the screen durability of the Galaxy Z Fold models.
Reviews of the Pixel Fold haven’t indicated that the screen is fragile but the use case of consumers differs from those who test these products. We are hoping that Google takes note of all these issues, and provides the right kind of support for the $1799 device and fixes them as soon as possible.
