Kanpur: A 44-year-old government primary school teacher who went for a picnic at Allen Forest Zoo in Nawabganj area of ​​the city died after being hit by a toy train.
According to the police, the Accident It happened around 3 pm when Anju Sharma, a resident of Bengali Colony in Rama Devi area of ​​Chakeri, got caught in her saree when the toy train she was trying to board fell on the tracks and was crushed to death.
He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital, where he died during treatment. Later, relatives of the teacher and local people of Bengali Colony reached the mortuary and created ruckus and demanded strict action against those responsible for her death.
The police somehow pacified them.
The zoo has been closed after the accident. On Sunday, the forensic team will investigate the spot, till then the zoo management has ordered to stop the train at the spot.
This is the first accident involving the toy train since its launch in 2014. Its maximum speed is 50 kilometers per hour; However, it is mostly driven at a speed of 12 kmph.
