The day we reached the school there was a lot of decoration. Awnings were put up in the school field. On enquiring, we came to know that there is a function of get-together of the old students. At some distance from the ceremony was the office of the principal, Father Thomas. We reached there to talk to him.

When asked about Asad, Father Thomas said, “I became the principal here in the year 2019, when Asad was in 10th standard. He was a little weak in studies as compared to other children of Ateeq. This was the reason that he somehow passed the 10th standard examination.” After graduation, his family members took his TC and took him out of the school. I came to know from somewhere that he went to Lucknow. Then Kovid came. After that where did Assad go, what is he doing? I don’t know anything.”

According to Father Thomas, Umar was the best in studies among Atiq’s five sons. His dream was to go to civil services. Ali and Aizam were average in studies but both were good in sports. The youngest Aban was a good player of cricket. Was sharp in both sports and studies. Atiq’s children may study here, but the school has never been in trouble because of them.

Assad’s parties in the canteen were known to the whole school
We traced the students studying with Asad from some local sources. Total went to 3 boys house. A boy from Jansenganj agreed to talk off-camera. He told that Asad and his group of 7 friends were famous in the whole school. This group mostly sits in the canteen. There used to be a party everyday.

The boy said, “Be it morning assembly time or lunch time. Asad’s group used to stay together. He was definitely in the small class, but even the class 12 students avoided talking to him and his friends. Asad and his The group’s expensive parties were talked about in the entire college.”

“There was no shortage of money, so Assad would often party with his friends in the canteen. There were win-win conditions and any winnings were spent by Assad. He used to come to school in expensive cars.”

We found Father Luis Mascarenhas talking to some teachers near the main gate of the school. Father Louis was the principal from 2005 to 2014. Now let us see the work of the college church. We asked him if Ateeq ever came here? In response to this question, he smiled and said, “I remember a very interesting incident of the year 2003. Atiq also came to the annual function of the school that year. He went on stage and distributed prizes to the children. He was not even invited. The next day, when his photo giving away prizes to the children appeared in the newspaper, our principal came to know that he was the local MLA, Ateeq Ahmed.”

In the year 2003, Mulayam Singh broke the BSP and formed the government, then Atiq, who was an MLA, increased his closeness with the SP. Ateeq once again joined the SP. In 2004, SP gave Lok Sabha ticket to Atiq from Phulpur. This time he won and became an MP. After becoming MLA and MP from the city western for 5 times, the local public started calling him “MP”. In view of this, Assad’s friends in school used to call him “little parliamentarian”. Even the people of Atiq’s gang used to call him the same.

Ali’s name came up in the quarrel, all the children were afraid of Shaista
Father Thomas, principal of St. Joseph’s School, says, “Asad’s name never came in any school controversy. However, the nature of his brother Ali was a bit different. Once during a sports competition in the school, Ali was representing his class. When his team lost in that match, he got so angry that he started arguing with the referee. Ali’s name was also among those who beat up the players of the other team that won the match.

Ali’s brother Umar was also present in the playground when the fight took place. So his name was also dragged into it. I remember Umar himself came to me on the second day of the incident and requested that father my name be removed from this incident. However, later in the investigation of the police it was found that the boys from outside had quarreled.”

Father Thomas told that all five children were very scared of mother Shaista. Once when he complained about Aizam to his mother, she reached the school in 15 minutes and scolded him a lot.

The criminal record of the family became a disaster in the education of the children.
After 10th from St. Joseph’s School, Prayagraj, Asad passed the 12th examination from a renowned college in Lucknow. After leaving school, he made up his mind to study law. For this, he wanted to go abroad, but his passport could not be cleared due to the criminal records of Atiq-Ashraf and his two elder brothers.

On the other hand, after Atiq, Ashraf went to jail, his sons Ali and Umar started handling the family business. But last year both were arrested. After this Asad used to look after Atiq’s business. However, if there was a big decision, she would have taken Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen.

Asad’s younger brother Aban was in 9th class and Aizam in 12th. But as soon as after the Umesh Pal murder, the family began to tighten. Both were thrown from the school to the child reform home. Aban could not even give the 9th and Aizam 12th exams.

Firing at the age of 12
10 days ago a video of Asad went viral on social media. That video was from 2017. At that time he was about 12 years old. He was firing in the air at a wedding ceremony. The family members sitting together were saying more drive, drive more in praise. This Harsh firing was of a marriage ceremony of Chakia. People tell that Atiq Ahmed used to give firing training to his children since childhood.
