Ahead of government formation in Karnataka last month, there were several rounds of vigorous talks within Congress circles in New Delhi. After winning the assembly elections by winning 135 out of the total 224 seats in the assembly, Siddaramaiah, now the chief minister, and Shivakumar, the state Congress president, were in a tough competition with each other to become the CM.
