Haldwani: In the heart-wrenching murder of businessman Ankit Chauhan at a local hotel in Haldwani, police have successfully nabbed the prime suspect. The accused, identified as Mahi alias Dolly, is believed to have conspired with her other lover Deepu Kandpal to inflict the fatal snakebite on Ankit. As the investigation progresses, the authorities are still on the lookout for the maid and a male servant, who are also involved in the crime. The snake catcher involved in the murder has already been caught.
According to the investigation, Dolly was having an affair with Ankit, the owner of a hotel in Haldwani, while she was also having an affair with another person. Dolly and her other lover together hatch a plan to eliminate Ankit by plotting a snakebite in the hotel. He had hired the snake catcher a month before the incident. After the murder, Dolly fled to Pilibhit, where she took refuge in her maidservant’s house in Nepal. The police traced her movements and eventually arrested her when she was traveling in a Delhi-bound bus.
During interrogation, Dolly initially claimed that she had fled from Bareilly to Delhi. She had stayed in various expensive hotels before deciding to surrender before a court in Haldwani. However, the police stopped him before he could do so. Meanwhile, the authorities are still on the lookout for the maid and male servant allegedly involved in the murder.
