Hamas condemns terror attack in Russia, sparking online criticism – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Hamas leaders on Saturday expressed condolences for the victims of the recent terror attack in Russia, condemning the violence and offering sympathy to the affected families and the Russian people.
“We condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted civilians in Moscow, killing dozens of people and wounding them,” the Palestinian terror group said in a statement.
The attack resulted in the tragic loss of 133 lives and left many others injured. The Islamic state‘s affiliate in Afghanistan, Isis-Khorasan, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Despite its own conflict with Israel, Hamas extended support to the Russian leadership and citizens.
However, some online critics mocked Hamas for denouncing the violence, questioning the sincerity of their statement as they view ISIS as a competitor.
