Haryana’s 11 IAS officers will retire by the end of the year, the government is worried. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Chandigarh: File for extension of three months to Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Rajiv Arora Haryana The government’s home and health departments are pending with the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) for final approval, while 10 other senior bureaucrats in the state are set to retire by the end of this year.
By January next year, the Haryana government will have a new team of senior bureaucrats. Haryana has a reputation for rehabilitating retired bureaucrats as most senior officers, especially former chief secretaries and additional chief secretaries, have been accommodated in important positions. Therefore, some of these senior officers may be accommodated in important positions after their retirement.
As per the DoPT circular of the Government of India, Haryana has been allotted a cadre of 212 IAS officers of different grades. With 14 officers on central deputation, including the Union Territory of Chandigarh, there are 198 officers left in the state.
Sensing the shortage of officers, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has already taken up the issue with the Union Minister of State for Personnel (Independent Charge) Dr Jitendra Singh during a meeting held in New Delhi.
Apart from demanding additional quota of officers, Haryana CM has also demanded rationalization of officers on deputation from Haryana. Later, while interacting with the media, Khattar said that the Union Minister assured a favorable decision for Haryana.
According to the information, Arora is to be relieved on July 31 if the extension is not received. Even if he gets an extension of three months, he will retire in October. Additional Chief Secretary (Panchayat) Amit Jha will retire on June 30. The officers retiring on July 31 include Additional Chief Secretary Devendra Singh, Tourism Director Amarjit Mann and Special Secretary Revenue RS Verma.
On August 31, Additional Chief Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management PK Das, Hisar Divisional Commissioner Chandrashekhar (he uses one name) will retire. Additional Chief Secretary Archives and Archeology SN Roy will retire on October 31, and Tarun Bajaj (currently on central deputation) and Director of Agriculture Hardeep Singh will retire on November 30. Senior most Additional Chief Secretary VS Kundu will retire on December 31.
