Hema Malini opened up about her sad experience with a director.
Hema Malini, who has been in news ever since the marriage of Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol, has recalled an old incident which made her uncomfortable.
Hema Malini who is making a lot of headlines since her actor husband DharmendraAt her grandson Karan Deol’s wedding, she recalled a harrowing experience with a director who asked her to unpin her saree to film a scene.
During an interview, Hema Malini told Leharen how a director intentionally wanted her saree’s pallu to fall. He said, “He wanted to shoot a scene of some kind. I always pin my saree. I said, ‘The saree will fall down’. He said this is what we want.”
In the same interview, Hema Malini also revealed that the iconic film Satyam Shivam Sundaram was initially offered to her, but it eventually went to actress Zeenat Aman.
Hema Malini said that Raj Kapoor narrated this film to her. He said, “They said this is such a film, you won’t do it, but I am keen that you do it.” however, he declined it. Later Zeenat played the lead role. Her character Roopa, who was shown to be physically injured, received critical acclaim and became one of the defining roles of her career.
Meanwhile, Hema Malini hit the headlines when she skipped Karan Deol’s wedding function. Hema Malini has repeatedly spoken about how she maintains a respectful distance from Dharmendra’s “other family” as she does not want to disturb them. According to several unconfirmed media reports on the internet, Dharmendra tied the knot with Hema Malini in 1980. Without divorcing his first wife Prakash Kaur.
Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur have four children – two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and two daughters Vijeta and Ajita.
