Pei tweeted from his official Twitter handle that he has also created a backup plan for the Ear(1) TWS earbuds with a non-transparent case. The tweet read, “With Year (1) in 2021, we introduced the design identity of Nothing to the world, but we also learned the hard way that transparency was not easy. We even prototyped a non-transparent case as a backup plan, but we quickly came to our senses.
Nothing Ears (1) without the transparent case: what it looks like
Pei also posted a prototype image of the ear (1) without the transparent case. This case looks completely different from the transparent cases we have seen.
