Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have foiled another attempt by Pakistani smugglers on the Punjab border. An infiltration attempt was made through drones during the night. But alert jawans not only sent the drone back after firing, but also seized heroin worth Rs 37 crore thrown through it.

According to the information given by BSF, Pakistani drone has once again intruded on the Amritsar border at midnight. But the alert jawans recognized the sound of the drone and started firing. Meanwhile, the sound of a big packet being dropped by the drone was heard. The drone went back. After which the BSF jawans informed the senior officers about this.

A search operation was conducted by sealing the area during the night. BSF jawans found a big yellow colored packet in the fields of Rai village, border of Amritsar.

The packet found in the fields of village Rai was covered with yellow tape. There was also a hook attached to it, through which it was thrown from the drone. When BSF jawans opened the packet, 5 small packets were found in it.

This is the second consecutive day when there has been an attempt by Pakistani smugglers to infiltrate into India through drones. Recently, a drone was shot down at the Amritsar border. While a 2.5 kg heroin consignment was seized in Tarn Taran.

At the same time, the BSF jawans had succeeded in confiscating the motorcycle of an Indian smuggler who had come to take the consignment.
