The Home Minister will begin his tour of the Union Territory by paying floral tributes at the statue of BJP ideologue and Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee in Jammu on Friday morning.

Sources said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir on June 23 and 24, during which he will participate in various development programs in Jammu and Srinagar.

The Home Minister will begin his tour of the Union Territory by paying floral tributes at the statue of BJP ideologue and Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee in Jammu on Friday morning.

After this, Shah will lay the foundation stone of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory at Samba. Sources said that he would also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development schemes in the city.

He said that in the afternoon the Union Home Minister would proceed to Srinagar where he would attend a function at Raj Bhavan to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects.

Later, he will participate in the ‘Vitasta’ festival organized by the Union Ministry of Culture in the city.

On Saturday, the Home Minister will lay the foundation stone of ‘Manyata Stambh’ in Srinagar before returning to the national capital.
