Howrah businessman found dead due to bullet injuries. Kolkata News – Times of India

Howrah: Biplab Panja (45), a businessman and a resident of Shastri Narendra Nath Ganguly Road under Chatterjehat Police Station HowrahHe was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head at his flat in a high-rise apartment on Saturday morning.

Police is probing to find out whether it is a case of suicide or there is some conspiracy involved. They are examining the CCTV footage to find out what exactly happened.
Police said Panja was alone at his flat on Saturday morning. Around 11 am, his wife returned from school with their eight-year-old son and found her husband lying on the floor in a pool of blood. He informed his neighbours, who alerted the police.

Police said a revolver was found on the floor. The bullet was fired near his right ear and passed through his head before becoming lodged in the wooden furniture in front.
Police said that Panja’s wife informed them that her husband was going through a bad phase in his business and had a huge debt in the market, due to which he had a dispute with some people recently. No suicide note was found on the spot.
Forensic experts have collected foot and finger prints from the spot and the revolver has also been sent for testing.
The security guard of the apartment said that there are many people visiting the apartment complex daily but he could not remember whether any suspicious person had entered the apartment on Saturday morning. The police have registered a case of unnatural death.
