HP expands consumer portfolio with new Spectre laptop range at CES 2024 – Times of India

HP has unveiled several products across its consumer and gaming range at the ongoing CES 2024 event in the US. The company has expanded its consumer portfolio with the launch of the HP Spectre x360 laptops. The lineup includes the HP Spectre x360 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop and the HP Spectre x360 16- inch 2-in-1 laptop. Here are all the details about the newly launched laptops:
HP Spectre x360 laptop series: Price and availability
Both 14-inch and 16-inch variants of the HP Spectre x360 laptops are now available at the company’s official website, HP.com at $1,499 and $1,599, respectively.These laptops can also be purchased from BestBuy.com.
HP Spectre x360 laptop series: Key features
HP Spectre x360 laptops support up to a 2.8K OLED screen that comes with an IMAX Enhanced Certification. The display also features a 16:10 aspect ratio and can adjust from 48 Hz to 120 Hz based on the type of content that is being viewed.
The laptops are powered by three engines (CPU, GPU, and NPU) across Intel Core Ultra processors and optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPUs to help the laptop perform a variety of local AI workloads like photo and video editing for faster, more efficient content creation and collaboration.

The latest Spectre models will be the first consumer devices to feature audio tuning by Poly. Poly’s tuning along with Windows Studio effects is expected to enhance calls and video qualities. The Windows tool offloads AI features like automatic framing, background blur and the ability to maintain eye contact onto the NPU.
These new laptops are equipped with a 9MP camera that supports hardware-enabled low-light adjustment for clearer calls in various light situations. The laptops also have; a dedicated AI chip that delivers built-in security features including walk away lock, wake on approach, and privacy alerts to warn you of snooping eyes.
The chip also enables adaptive screen adjustments like getting dimmer when you look away to save power, variable refresh rate for immersive performance and power efficiency and automatic performance optimisation that adjusts fan noise and temperatures based on the apps that are being used, placement of the laptop as well as battery status.
