Soon after Vij edited his X bio and moved down the tagline the political atmosphere in Haryana heated up raising speculations that he might leave BJP

Former Haryana Minister Anil Vij on Monday expressed his distress over BJP leaders and supporters criticising him for moving down the “Modi ka Pariwar” tagline in his bio on X, formerly Twitter. Issuing a clarification in a lengthy post on the social media platform, Vij said that those attacking him should have allowed him to clarify the matter and accused them of playing foul.

Soon after Vij edited his X bio and moved down the tagline the political atmosphere in Haryana heated up raising speculations that the former Haryana Minister, who was reportedly upset after the party made Nayab Singh Saini as the Chief Minister of the state, might leave BJP ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

However, clarifying the reason behind the removal of the tagline of BJP’s campaign, Vij took to the micro-blogging site and wrote, “Everyone knows that I have become an Ex now and I should write Ex everywhere. But when I started writing Ex in my profile on X, the number of letters to be written in the name exceeded the prescribed number, so (Modi’s family), which is me, had to be removed from the top and placed below, which gave some people an opportunity to play.”

“I am a staunch devotee of BJP. If you had talked to me before playing on this, you would have got a chance to hear your sweet words and this would not have happened,” he added.

Is Vij Upset With BJP?

Former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij is reportedly upset with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after he was dropped from the Cabinet and Nayab Saini was chosen as the leader and hence the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, the rift in the state BJP unit was speculated after Vij skipped Saini’s oath ceremony.

According to various reports, Vij was disappointed as he was hoping for the top post after Manohar Lal Khattar resigned as the Chief Minister. Notably, the six-time MLA was one of the frontrunners for the Chief Minister’s post after the BJP came to power in the state.
