‘I paid extra…’: Passenger slams Air India for providing broken window seat | Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A passenger aboard a Delhi-Bengaluru flight has criticised Air India for providing a damaged window seat, despite having paid extra for it.
Despite the airline’s efforts to enlist the assistance of an engineer, the passenger alleged that the broken seat could not be repaired satisfactorily.

“Paid extra 1k for a broken window seat (22A) on Air India AI512 from DEL to BLR on 4th Apr.They called the engineer to fix it, but he couldn’t. Is this what I paid the flight fare for? Can’t I at least expect a proper seat after paying so much?” reads the caption of the post.
Air India responded to the passenger’s tweet by requesting booking details and subsequently assured the individual that the airline would thoroughly investigate the issue and implement necessary measures to address it.
“When asked about a refund or alternative seats, the passenger responded, ‘No, they didn’t. Probably because they want us to accept paying thousands for a flight only to sit in a broken or damaged seat.'”
