Now, there are reports that renowned Bollywood director-producer Karan Johar has decided to make a Hindi remake of Jhimma. In an interview with Lokmat Filmi, the film’s actress, Kshitee Jog and its director Hemant Dhome, spoke about this. Kshitee said, “This film will not be made in Hindi so soon. Currently, only discussion is going on and Jhimma’s Hindi remake will not be released in 2024 as pointed out in reports. I will never oppose a remake of this movie as it is a women’s story. Films should be made in all languages. Only our characters should be presented as honestly as they are. If that honesty is maintained, I will be most happy as an actor and producer of this film.”
Hemant said that the discussion regarding the remake is indeed taking place. Kshitee and Karan Johar have worked in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani together. Hemant added that both Kshitee and Karan had a lot of discussions regarding the storyline of Jhimma’s remake. As per Hemant, they also discussed the cast of the film, but couldn’t reach a definite conclusion. Hemant ended the conversation by saying that he couldn’t say anything more than that now.
As of now, Hemant and Kshitee are on cloud nine with the success of Jhimma 2. Shivani Surve, Rinku Rajguru, Sayali Sanjeev, Nirmiti Sawant, and others have also acted in this movie.
