ICICI Bank EMI facility option has been introduced for UPI payments made by scanning the QR code. All bank customers are eligible pay later — Bank’s ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ service — Avail EMI facility. According to the bank, the facility is aimed at providing affordability to the bank’s customers as they need to scan the required merchant QR code at the store and pay in EMIs.
ICICI Bank customers can avail EMI facility across multiple categories such as electronics, groceries, fashion apparel, travel and hotel bookings. Customers can pay for transaction amounts above Rs 10,000 in easy installments over three, six or nine months. The EMI facility for Paylater will soon be extended for online purchases as well, the bank said in a statement.
ICICI Bank introduced Paylater facility in 2018 to enable customers to buy small ticket items. PayLater aims to enable customers to shop online with just QR code scanning, pay bills and pay any merchant UPI ID at physical stores.
How to avail EMI facility on PayLater
Below are the easy steps to avail EMI facility on PayLater:
* Visit any physical store and choose your preferred product or service
* To make payment, use the iMobile Pay app and select the option ‘Scan any QR’
* Choose PayLater EMI option if the transaction amount is Rs.10,000 or more
* Choose EMI tenure: 3, 6 or 9 months
* Confirm the payment and the transaction is completed successfully
