Kundanpur further insisted that Gehlot should encourage the youth and his son to come forward, adding that when “the shopkeeper becomes old”, the next generation is overseen by the elders.

“I firmly say what I think is right. No matter how big and powerful someone is, it doesn’t mean he can’t make mistakes. People make mistakes. Wise is the one who accepts after making mistakes. If he doesn’t do that, it shows arrogance.”

Speaking about Sachin Pilot raising the issue of corruption, Kundanpur said that it is only in the Congress that leaders can raise an issue and be heard patiently by the party. “You will be thrown out for speaking out in the BJP,” he said.

Randhawa said those making such comments should set an example. He also said that Kundanpur did not mention any such thing to him during the meeting on Wednesday.

Randhawa also said that winnability is the criteria for ticket distribution and there is no cut-off age.

We will give tickets to winnable candidates. If we have elders in our house, do we throw them out saying that they have become old so go out.
