IIT Guwahati is responding to demand and following the recommendations of NEP 2020 by offering multiple entry routes to its fully online degree programs.
Any person who has completed class 12th or its equivalent and has Mathematics as a compulsory subject can apply. Candidates who have registered jee advanced (any year) will get direct admission while those who haven’t can complete the online course and admission can be given on the basis of their performance.
The degree program offers several exit options depending on the number of credits earned. Learners can choose to earn a certificate, diploma, degree or honors degree. Optional campus tours also provide opportunities for students to connect with faculty and peers.
Programs for students begin with a foundation in coding and then move on to more specialized topics such as generative AI, deep learning, computer vision, and data mining. Learning is further enhanced through group projects, real-world case studies and internships. The program also offers industry micro-credentials that recognize prior learning, which allows students to gain more job-relevant knowledge.
Graduates will have the opportunity to apply for over 400,000 jobs in various fields such as AI engineering, data engineering, ML engineering and data analysis. IIT Guwahati provides job placement assistance to students and access to Coursera Hiring Solutions, the recruitment platform of Coursera.
