IM Vikramaditya Kulkarni Wins Second Successive Title in All-India Grand Prix Chess Series | Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: International Master (IM) Vikramaditya Kulkarni beat Guru Prakash in the final leg and claimed his second successive title in the Rs 2.50 lakh prize money All-India Grand Prix Chess Series at Russian Centre here.
In the final round, the 16-year-old Guru Prakash, playing with white pieces, launched an aggressive king-pawn opening. The 42-year-old Kulkarni, however, won in 42 moves.
Ram Parab, Atharva Soni, and Mihir Shah all achieved an identical score of 6/7 in the tournament. However, Mihir secured the second position after the tie-break, while Parab and Atharva had to settle for the third and fourth positions respectively.

Oranje FC Under-23 drew 3-3 with Bombay Gymkhana in a Super Division match of the MDFA League on Tuesday.
