Success Story of IPS: Although the expression “the impossible says that I am possible” may sound cliché, Aditya, an IPS officer who failed 30 competitive exams, including the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and banking exams, before finally clearing the civil services exam of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), captures its meaning perfectly. His example of perseverance and grit is incredibly inspiring. Despite many setbacks, he kept going because he believed that persistence and hard work would eventually pay off. After clearing UPSC (Punjab Cadre) in 2018, Aditya got All India 630th rank.
IPS Aditya: Background
In his native Ajitpura in the Hanumangarh region of Rajasthan, Aditya earned a BA degree in History, Political Science and Geography. Like his father, Aditya too has a lifelong desire to work for the government. He learned as a child that government employees were the first to help the general public. They are able to use their position to influence important social concerns. In light of this, it aroused his curiosity when he was young, and after graduation, he gravitated towards it. Since UPSC requirements allow applicants to appear for the exam only once per year, Aditya made a backup preparation plan by studying and applying for other competitive exams. This helped them to concentrate on their studies more effectively, which also enhanced their general knowledge and exam-writing abilities.
