In-laws Beat Woman To Death In Bhojpur | Patna News – Times of India

Ara: A 65-year-old man was arrested for allegedly beating his daughter-in-law to death over a family dispute in Bilauti village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on Saturday.
According to police, a manhunt has been launched to nab three other relatives of the accused.
While the arrested accused has been identified as Rangila Dom, the other three absconding accused are Rajan Dom (41), husband of the victim, Sajan Dom (30), brother-in-law and Dwarka Dom (60), uncle of Rajan.
The Shahpur station house officer (SHO) said, “As per our preliminary investigation, on Friday night, a quarrel broke out between the deceased, Sarli Devi, and her in-laws over a family dispute, in which the four accused, including his husband, beat the woman to death with lathis and dandas.”
He added that Devi’s husband and the other two accused are absconding after the incident, and efforts are being made to nab the trio.
Meanwhile, the brother of the victim told the mediapersons, “We came to know about the incident on Saturday morning. My sister had gone to her in-laws’ house a couple of days ago for Holi. She has been beaten to death by her husband, father-in-law, brother-in-law and an uncle of her husband.”
