“Therefore, we had asked the Finance Ministry to make a presentation, which would be state-wise, expenditure for revenue comparison, liabilities to GSDP, growth rate or liabilities of various Indian states, budget borrowings which they have done, mortgaging of assets.
“Gencoms and discoms have outstanding power and states have outstanding guarantees. So we had a very good discussion. The members were very curious to know how much we have done,” he said.
Minister said that as talks with Sri Lanka International Monetary Fund Go ahead, India will give whatever support it can in terms of working with relevant agencies.
