Indian economy expected to grow by 6.5-6.7% in 2023-24: CII president – Times of India

Besides the government’s emphasis on capex, he said the resilience of the domestic economy comes from healthy balance sheets of corporates and a well-capitalised financial system.
He said several pragmatic and transformative policies of the government, which continued through the pandemic, helped catalyze a rapid economic recovery and the resilience in growth that India is currently witnessing.
Livelihood business, tourism, wellness, skill development and future technologies were highlighted as some of the key action priorities of CII for the coming year.
According to the GDP data released today, the real GDP growth for 2022-23 stood at 7.2 per cent, higher than the estimated 7 per cent, according to the provisional estimates released by the National Statistical Office (NSO).
