India has logged in 1,272 new corona virus According to the data updated on May 14 by the Union Health Ministry, the active cases of infection have come down to 15,515.
With three deaths, the death toll has risen to 5,31,770. While two deaths were reported from Punjab, one was from West Bengal, the data updated at 8 am said.
The COVID case tally was recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,80,674).
The ministry said that active cases now comprise 0.03% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.78%.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease increased to 4,44,33,389 and the fatality rate was recorded at 1.18%.
According to the website of the ministry, 220.66 crore doses of Kovid vaccine have been given so far in the country under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
