India’s notion in UK is old, we must earn a place in India’s future: Rishi Sunak – Times of India

London: Britain does not have a monopoly on opportunities, India has immense opportunities, Chancellor of the fund Shi altar said on Friday, that India is “looking to the future” and Britain It should not be taken lightly that India will always look to the UK inevitably.

I want to figure out how to make it easier for people to travel in both directions,” he told reporters ahead of the India Global Forum’s UK-India Awards.
“I think for many people here in the UK, the external perception of India does not correspond to reality,” Sunak said.
“India has the third largest number of tech unicorns and the second highest smartphone penetration. Future UK-India relations are based on innovation, technology and science. India has gone a long way from being a mere place where low cost of labor was the main value addition. India is now building best-in-class companies globally.”
He said that financial services and insurance are the areas where there will be huge opportunities for both the countries.
He said that India is a country that is “looking to the future” and Britain should not think that India will always be looking to Britain.
