India’s space regulator authorizes launch of first private rocket Vikram-S

The total duration of the launch will be 300 seconds, during which the rocket will reach a maximum height of 101 km and fall into the sea.

The Union Minister also pointed out that the space sector has unlocked the potential of Indian startups, currently 102 start-ups are working in the cutting edge areas of space debris management, nano-satellites, launch vehicles, ground systems and research.

The original date for the launch of Vikram-S was scheduled for 15 November, but due to bad weather, the company decided to postpone the launch to 18 November.
