IPS Ravi Sinha becomes the new chief of intelligence agency RAW: got responsibility for two years, will take charge on June 30

Ravi Sinha belongs to Bhojpur district of Bihar. He studied at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Ravi passed the UPSC exam in the year 1988.

Senior IPS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre Ravi Sinha has been appointed as the new chief of India’s intelligence agency RAW. The tenure of current RAW chief Samant Kumar Goel ends on June 30, after which Ravi will take over.

Ravi Sinha, a 1988 batch IPS officer, will hold the post for two years. Presently he is working as Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.

Ravi Sinha belongs to Bhojpur district of Bihar. He studied at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Ravi passed the UPSC exam in the year 1988. He got the Madhya Pradesh cadre as an Indian Police Service officer.

In the year 2000, the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee carved out the tribal-dominated areas of Madhya Pradesh and established the state of Chhattisgarh. Sinha then technically moved to the Chhattisgarh cadre.

According to reports, IPS Ravi Sinha is also known as ‘Operation Man’. He is known to work as a spy.

Ravi has served in Jammu and Kashmir, North Eastern states
Sinha is considered an expert on India’s neighboring countries. He has also served in Jammu and Kashmir and has been posted in North Eastern states as well as in other parts of the country.

Ravi also keeps distance from social media platforms. This can be gauged from the fact that it is difficult to even find a picture of Ravi Sinha on the internet.

These achievements are in the name of the current RAW chief
If we talk about the current RAW Chief Samant Goyal, then he is an IPS of Punjab Cadre. While holding this post, Samant Goyal made many achievements to his name. Article 370 was removed from Kashmir during his tenure. Along with this, Balakot Airstrike was executed in Pakistan.
