Gurgaon: The wife of jailed gangster Ajay Zaildar has been arrested along with one of her husband’s henchmen for extorting Rs 50 lakh from a local liquor baron. The police gave this information on Thursday in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Preeti, wife Ajay Zaildar, a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, were arrested from a high-rise society in Kherki Daula area, followed by his aide Naveen on Thursday, PTI quoted police as saying.
During interrogation, Preeti told the police that she had met her husband in jail a week ago and had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from the liquor baron at his behest.
He revealed that he first contacted Sandeep, nephew of the jailer, who introduced him to his friend Naveen, a resident of Tirapdi.
Police told that Sandeep and Preeti threatened from Naveen’s mobile.
