Jaipur: Due to a domestic dispute in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, a man attacked his wife multiple times with a screwdriver, leading to her death.
The incident took place late on Monday night in Shastri Nagar area when the accused Kanaram had a fight with his wife Mamta, police said on Tuesday, PTI quoted Shastri Nagar SHO Dilip Singh as saying.
After the attack, the accused took his wife to a nearby hospital, where she was referred to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital.
The station in-charge said that the doctors in the hospital declared him brought dead.
The woman’s brother lodged a complaint following which a murder case was registered against the accused, they said.
Police said that the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
The couple has three children, including two daughters and a son. The station in-charge told that the children were sleeping at the time of the incident.
