On Thursday came the news that Shah Rukh’s upcoming much-awaited film is likely to be pushed back from its scheduled June 2 release date. However, sources told News18.com that the makers are sticking to the original release date.
Amidst these reports, paparazzi spotted Shah Rukh’s car leaving Atlee’s house on late Friday evening. The actor again decided to stay away from the camera’s focus.
A report in Pinkvilla on Thursday claimed that Jawan has been delayed due to VFX. “Jawan is no longer releasing on June 2, 2023. The team needs some more time to complete the visual effects of the film and they will come up with a product that competes with the best in the country rather than a shoddy product. ” Reportedly, the VFX team has been working extensively for the past few months but the process is taking a long time.
However, a source told News18.com on Friday that not only is Attlee still focused on the June 2 release, but the team is also planning to drop something big during the 2023 IPL finale.
“I spoke to the production team last night and they are very confident about how the film is going to turn out. The trailer is ready and has been viewed. As of now, they are sticking to a June 2 release. However, they will take a complete and final decision by tomorrow.”
The source further added that Shah Rukh and Jawan’s team do not have any detailed plans regarding the promotion of the film. He added, “The team has understood that there is a lot of hype around the film and they don’t need to do much like Pathan. We should expect a similar strategy to be followed for Jawan. Can drop the trailer of the film the day before.”
