A Jharkhand court has sentenced an accused to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping two minors. One of the accused involved in the case has already been sentenced. The court has sentenced the second accused to jail as well as fine.

The advocate said that the matter is seven years old. The incident is of West Singhbhum district of the state. Rajendra Mahato, a resident of a village here, had raped two minor girls on the evening of August 29, 2016. The girls were returning home in the evening. The police had registered a case against the accused. On Wednesday, District and Sessions Court Judge-1 sentenced Rajendra to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment. Along with this, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the accused.
